God's not done with you!

God's not done with you yet!

Sometimes in life we can become accustomed to God using us in a particular way; whether that's at events, in the grocery store, or even in the unconventional. We can get accustom to it so much so that when He begins ushering us into a new season that looks and feels

different or even a little mundane...that we can think He's done.

I mean how can He use us, everyday is pretty much the same. We do the same things; work, home, grocery store and heck all those people already know our stories, right?

Wrong!

God is not done with us yet!

My husband and I have wrestled through some pretty uncomfortable things throughout our journey with God, but we‘ve grown familiar to them in a sense. Sure I might get a little giddy when God asks me to pray for the person I'm meeting to buy clothes from (clothes are seriously my achilles heel). But when that moment comes, there's a level of familiarity there. Heck we've been seeing God move in this way for years now. It's not new, even though it might come out of left field from time to time. It's familiar...

But, what about this season of new, new church campus, new job, new city... where do we fit in here? Sometimes, it can feel like we are just living a regular life now. Going to work and church, doing seemingly mundane things. But He's NOT done yet...

And I wholeheartedly believe God will move just as miraculously in this season as He did in past seasons. Will it look the same, probably not. Will it be familiar, maybe a little. Will it be to His Glory, definitely!

So I guess what I'm saying is, God can and will use you HOW and WHEN and WHERE He desires...if you allow Him. Will you allow Him to prune you in this season, to prepare you?

It may seem slow going right now, but that's because there's a lot of uprooting of thoughts and belief systems that have to take place. There may even be some healing God wants to bring to you in order for you to be prepared for the season to come.

That discomfort you feel in this season has a purpose....that slow pace has a purpose....will you lean into it to allow God to do His work in this season?

If I'm honest, I believe the slow pace has more to do with

  • preparation

  • discipline

  • putting healthy habits in place

I've known for a LONG time that I need these things but have let them fall by the waste side in favor of quick movements and "pushing through".

Now that we know it's not over...

Wait, anyone else hear the song start playing in their head?

🎶 It ain’t ova until God says it’s over!

Keep fighting until the victory is won🎶

...no, just me, alrighty then 😬

Like I was saying, now that we know it's not over what should we do in response to that knowledge?

Well I have a few ideas:

  1. Repent - ask for forgiveness for seeing this season as less than and for becoming complacent in it

  2. Seek His Will - ask God to open your eyes to see what He desires your focus to be on in this season and to incline your ears to hear His commands willingly and clearly

  3. Submit - submit your will and desires over to Him including what you'd rather be doing instead

  4. Do The WORK - no matter the season, there's always work to be done, sometimes it's focused more outwardly than inward and other season it's more balanced between the two. It's okay if you're not sure which season you're in...ask Him and be open to receiving the answer even when it doesn't come packaged the way you’d expect! Sometimes confirmation can seem "weird" in the moment but our spirits attest to the truth of what we've received regardless of the vessel/messenger God used to send it.

So let me ask you, what work has God give you to do today?

Unsure of where to even begin...always begin with Him!

If you feel uncertain and in need of someone to seek God with you, hit me up here! I'm always willing to seek God with you and on your behalf.

Until next time....be blessed y'all!!
